Tokenized RWA markets are remarkably stable heading into the weekend — top-10 protocol AUM holding at $21.03 billion, essentially flat from Friday. That stability is itself a signal: this is no longer a market that swings on sentiment. Institutional capital doesn't panic-sell on Sundays.

1. CENTRIFUGE QUIETLY CLIMBING

Centrifuge Protocol ticked up to $1.71 billion — its highest level in recent weeks. Centrifuge is the least-talked-about name in the top 10 but arguably the most structurally important: it tokenizes real-world credit — invoice financing, trade receivables, real estate loans — and brings it on-chain as yield-bearing assets.

Unlike BUIDL (tokenized T-bills) or Tether Gold (tokenized gold), Centrifuge is tokenizing the messy, illiquid stuff that traditional finance has always struggled to price and distribute efficiently. If tokenization has a genuine long-term use case beyond stablecoins and money markets, Centrifuge is closest to proving it.

2. ONDO CREEPING TOWARD BUIDL

Ondo Yield Assets hit $2.79 billion, narrowing the gap with BlackRock BUIDL ($2.83B) to just $40 million. A few weeks ago the gap was over $200 million. Ondo has been the fastest-growing institutional protocol in the space — and unlike BUIDL, which requires a $5 million minimum and an institutional onboarding process, Ondo is accessible to a broader set of investors.

Watch for Ondo to overtake BUIDL in AUM within the next 30 days. When a DeFi-native protocol surpasses BlackRock in a tokenized asset category, that's a headline.

3. THE MARKET IS MATURING

Total top-10 AUM: $21.03B. A year ago this number was under $5B. The pace of growth has slowed from the explosive 2024–2025 ramp — but that's not weakness, it's consolidation. The protocols that have survived are building real institutional distribution. The ones that haven't made the top 10 by now probably won't.

The next phase isn't about new protocols launching. It's about the existing leaders building the legal, compliance, and distribution rails that let pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies actually allocate. That work is happening now, mostly quietly.
