Tokenized RWA markets are holding near all-time highs as the on-chain fixed income build-out accelerates. Total top-10 protocol AUM sits at $20.98 billion — a market that barely existed three years ago.

Three things worth watching today:

1. GOLD STAYS ON TOP — BUT NOT FOR LONG

Tether Gold leads the tokenized RWA leaderboard at $3.31 billion, edging BlackRock's BUIDL ($2.83B) and Ondo's yield assets ($2.77B). Gold's dominance at the top of the tokenized asset stack reflects something real: in a high-rate, high-uncertainty environment, hard assets tokenized for DeFi collateral have a product-market fit that yield products still have to earn.

But the gap is closing. BUIDL has grown faster than any other institutional product in the space — and unlike gold, it compounds.

2. MAPLE DOWN $540M — THE QUIET SHIFT

Maple Finance's AUM dropped from $2.62B to $2.08B in the last 24 hours — a $540 million move. That's not a collapse; Maple runs institutional credit strategies that fluctuate with deployments and redemptions. But it's a reminder that headline AUM numbers in on-chain credit are lumpy, not linear. The underlying protocols are still early, and institutional allocators move in large blocks.

3. CIRCLE USYC QUIETLY AT $2.68B

Circle's USYC — a tokenized short-duration yield product — continues to grow in the shadow of BUIDL. At $2.68B it's now larger than Maple and sitting on Binance and Ethereum. Circle is building the yield-bearing equivalent of USDC: a tokenized cash equivalent that earns, settles on-chain, and doesn't require a brokerage account. Watch this one.
